Sunday Sober Showdown

A Creative Cocktail Competition

Application deadline: September 19th, 2025

Eligibility: Open to Canadian residents - Must work in hospitality or run a beverage focused social media account.

Submission Requirements:

Include:
- Applicants must be available to compete in person on October 19th, 2025 in Ottawa
- Full recipe - must include a minimum of 1 sponsored ingredient (minimum 1 oz) & 1 local Canadian ingredient. Final recipe must be under 0.5% ABV.
- Local Canadian ingredients can be: produce (fresh or dried fruits or vegetables), local herbs, flowers or spices, dairy, sap-based products (maple, birch, etc.), and more! Try to keep these products as local as possible
- Recipes must be original or significantly modified if inspired by another recipe.
- Answer the question field with up to 500 words. "Why do you believe non-alcoholic beverage programs are essential in today's hospitality landscape?"
- Upload a photo or video of your drink on Instagram and tag @SommWiseInc @HP_Juniper @FeverTreeCanada & @FeverTreeMixers
- Use hashtag #SundaySoberShowdown
- Follow @SommWiseInc @HP_Juniper @FeverTreeCanada & @FeverTreeMixers on Instagram
- Finalists will have their cocktail recipe duplicated at the service bar on the day of the event for guests to sample and vote on for the 'People's Choice Award'.
- Finalists will compete in front of our judging panel and live audience. Competitors will be asked to speak about their cocktail, and make 4 identical drinks for the judges within a set time frame.

Post-application notes: Finalists will be contacted by September 22nd, 2025 and given the rules and regulations of the competition day.

A portion of proceeds for this event will be donated to a charity supporting mental health & recovery in the Ottawa area.
